What is a K-Series Engine | Maruti with K-series
In 2010 , Maruti Suzuki launched its cars with new generation engine which is called K-Series. This K series engine is a 4-cylinder 4-stroke engine.By using this type of engine , Maruti launched its Estilo, Swift, and A star. By this engine Swift get more power and more speed
The K series engines have Double overhead camshaft (DOHC) valvetrains and use Roller Rockers to reduce friction.In this engines, they use a coil-on-plug, distributorless ignition system with a coil for each spark plug.This Engine also comes in Hondo’s cars. This system eliminates he ignition timing based on various sensor inputs. The cylinders have cast iron sleeves similar to the B-series engines, as opposed to the FRM cylinders found in the H-series.
