New Launched Toyota Prius in India
Toyota wants to develop a eco-friendly vehicle for safe environment, and finally Toyota launched this eco-friendly vehicle in Auto Expo 2010 at Delhi. And It is known as “Toyota PRIUS”. Toyota Prius is luxury small hatchback. And Its Price around 27 to 29 lakh. Toyota launched it two model Z3 and Z4. And More then 50 Prius already booked till now. Toyota Prius manufactured in Japan and It would be imported from Japan and Toyota make a target to sell 200 cars in India in time range March to December 2010. This Car concept is very good for save fuel and low emission engine.
Toyota Prius have a petrol engine and an electric motor.Toyota Prius is powered by a 1.8 litre 2ZR-FXE petrol engine with Aluminum double overhead cam (DOHC) 16-valve VVT-i 4-cylinder, which generated the displacement of 1798cc with 73 kw of peak power at 5,200 rpm and 142 Nm of maximum torque at 4,000 rpm. It have 3.17 in. bore and 3.48 in.stroke with Compression ratio of 13.0:1. And most important things is that it have a electric Permanent magnet AC synchronous motor of voltage 650V maximum, which produced 80 hp (60 kW) and max torque of 153 lb.-ft. (207 Nm). For this electric motor, Prius have a Sealed Nickel-Metal Hydride (Ni-MH) Battery. So Prius Toyota have two mode of driving as Eco and Power modes.When used on electric mode or combined mode of petrol and motor, the fuel efficiency is increased up to 35 per cent.
In this Toyota Prius, Company added many new generation accessories as Voice activated touch screen DVD navigation system with JBL AM/FM/MP3 4 disc CD changer, eight speakers, USB port with iPod connectivity, integrated satellite radio capability, XM NavTraffic capability, hands-free phone capability and music streaming via Bluetooth wireless technology, and integrated backup camera. And also have some safety technology like Advanced Technology Package (includes Navigation Package), Dynamic Radar Cruise Control (DRCC), Pre-Collision System (PCS),Lane Keep Assist (LKA), Intelligent Parking Assist (IPA). Prius also have a Power tilt/slide moonroof with Solar Powered Ventilation System and Remote Air Conditioning System.
